I teach a variety of dance and movement classes in Oxford, UK with the Oxford University Dance Society.
Classes take place during Oxford University term time (in 8-week blocks from October-December, January-March, and April-June) but are open to anyone. Currently, I offer lyrical, heels/floorwork, yoga, and fitness classes. I also teach occasional butoh workshops.
My lyrical classes invite dancers to explore the ways their bodies want and feel best moving. Each class begins with many exercises to explore how your body moves, alone and with others, and we finish with learning a choreography, which cycle every two weeks.
My floorwork classes allow dancers to explore their relationship to gravity, sensuality, and the ground, drawing on the lineage of sex workers who developed and refined this beautiful and difficult art form.
My classes are always open to all levels, inclusive, adaptable, and above all based on consent. You can find more information about location and time on the Dance Society website and social media.
I am also available for private classes; please contact me for information.
